November 21, 2007 – As part of
their community service project, Crestwood High School seniors Mary
Aigeldinger and Jennifer Birk organized a special mailing for local
soldiers. The students gathered donations from throughout the community
and raised money to send the care packages to troops stationed in Iraq
and Afghanistan. Senator Baker contributed a special note and flag pin
as part of the effort. Kneeling in the front row are boy scouts Brian
Lada, Jason Bender Brian Henning and Mark Dodson. Standing are Al Finn,
Board of Directors, American Legion, Post 781; Bonnie Gregory, Chris
Gegaris, Mary Aigeldinger, Jennifer Birk and Senator Baker.

November 18, 2007 - Senator Baker
presents a citation to the Jenningsville United Methodist Church in honor of its
125th anniversary. Joining her are Rev. Jean Swett, Pastor of Jenningsville

November 16, 2007 – Wayne
County Commissioner Tony Herzog, White Mills Fire Company President John
Haggarty, Senator Baker and Representative Mike Peifer present citations to fire
company members who have dedicated more than 10 years of service to protecting
the community. Five members have served for over 50 years and two have offered
an astounding 60 years of service.

November 13, 2007 –
Stephanie Jallen of Wyoming, Pennsylvania spoke to the Senate to share her story
about overcoming adversity. Although born with a rare birth defect that left her
without her left arm and leg, she has become an accomplished skier and is
working to become a member of the US Paralympics skiing team. Above, from left

November 9, 2007 – Senator Baker was a special guest at the Crestwood Middle
School Veteran’s Day Assembly. After the program, she spoke with 8th grade
