January 27, 2010 - As a member of the Senate Environmental Resources and Energy committee, Senator Baker participated in a public hearing on Marcellus Shale natural gas wastewater treatment issues. During the hearing, participants heard from Department of Environmental Protection officials, industry representatives and others providing an overview of the challenges faced from Marcellus Shale wastewater.

January 15, 2010 – Representative Sandra Major and Senator Baker present Ira T. Reynolds, a Susquehanna resident, with citations from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and Senate to commemorate the occasion of his 108th birthday on January 2nd.

January 10, 2010 – Senator Baker had the honor of congratulating four brothers from Forty Fort for becoming Eagle Scouts. January 9, 2010 - Senator Baker participated in the Monroe County League of Women Voters legislative coffee at the Eastern Monroe Public Library. Following the event Senator Baker and Rep.
