Statement by Senator Lisa Baker on New Senate Rules of Ethical Conduct
Senator Lisa Baker issued the following statement
regarding the recent introduction of
Rules of Ethical Conduct for the state:
"These rules are a necessary and sensible starting point on
crystal clear standards of conduct. The public rightfully expects to see a
constant commitment to compliance with both the letter and the spirit of these
rules. They reflect a level of ethical conduct I have adhered to from Day 1 of
my service in the state Senate. We also need to act on substantial reforms of
the legislative process and the state budget process to address the range of
public concerns."
