More than 250 residents came together last night at the Stand with Israel rally at the JCA of Northeastern Pennsylvania. We gathered as people of different faiths and heritage to, in common cause, mourn the terrible plague of death and destruction in Israel and Gaza.
It is hard for us to understand the profound hatred behind these vicious premeditated attacks upon the communities and civilians of Israel. The images of the slaughtered innocents of every age and desolated neighborhoods tear at our hearts and consciences.
Our common prayer must be for the souls of those lost, for the safety of the multi-national hostages, for the physical and emotional healing of the thousands of injured, for the cessation of hostilities, and for peace in the kingdom of the God we each choose to worship.
